Yet another random script from unnamed documents in my drive.
I think I write a lot of pieces with dependency themes, just like this one. in extreme cases I write about 'doing anything for you'. in the milder ones, there's one like Maki who clings to Shinichi.
I see a pattern. I see myself.
To be honest, ever since the first time I heard the term 'avoidant-dependent' (or something), I've always told myself this is me. I'm annoyed at myself, you know, for being like this. I can get clingy to people, asking them to give me all the time of the day, but once they start inching closer to me, I run away. I hide away. I even do this to my family. This instinct to run from people is so tiring. Yet I know I want to offer everything to keep them from leaving me behind.vianna orchidiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13284051763908117707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363448139878683688.post-40997587127579397502019-01-19T17:53:00.002+07:002019-04-21T12:13:14.866+07:00BayangSatu dari desah napasmu terdengar berat.

There are people who turn their back, retrace their steps, go all the way back to square one only to find another thorny path.

There are also people who stop and stare at the boulder blocking their way, their steps frozen under fear of the unknown.

I am the latter.

No matter what I tell myself, what people tell me, my hands are cold and my feet are stuck. I don't know how to move. I don't even know what is weighing me down. I can see the people whom I care about cheering for me, yes, I can hear their voices--but they seem so far. So hazy. The boulder looms before me and my tiny body, shadowing my precious people.

Why?
vianna orchidiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13284051763908117707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363448139878683688.post-30316744320507781992018-09-18T21:20:00.002+07:002018-09-18T21:20:46.396+07:00untitled - 1I've practically abandoned this blog, huh? Haha. I've gotten a bit too apathetic to my liking. Sorry about that.

Looking at the archive, the last thing was that SINGLE post on January earlier this year? Honestly I thought it was way older lol. I remember I wrote that trying to melt some of the ice engulfing my heart (hence the snow) but I guess it didn't work out much? Somehow it ended as a deathfic, quite literally, lol.

Since then? Not much. Though I admit I'm quite fond at looking at old archives when I feel I can't write. Those older archives, while horrible themselves, kind of proved that I still had something in me. Unlike now. I'm only rambling like this because I'm anxious as hell. Not because I finally found something to write. Nah. Would be another hundred years early.

--------

I guess while I'm at it, let's talk about... stuff.

Since the end of last year, I'm delving into a new fandom: butai. As in stageplays. Mainly with ikemen-filled ones. This is quite an improvement, don't you think??? I've moved on from 2D to 3D! (or 2.5D, it's the same for me) I'm having a clearer picture of my own type! .......though, I must admit it's getting further from local men looooool

I'm lonely. I don't interact much with my friends in the first place, and now that there's no classes where we see face-to-face and get into conversations naturally, I practically have no one to talk to lol. I mainly just chat with one person, a friend in arms who jumped into butai together with me. That's not healthy, I knooow, but what to do?? I'm not the type to just hit "hi let's talk" with random friends. With most of college friends, I tend to automatically try to be the good me, you know? I'm the reliable, though sometimes childish friend. And no, I can't stick to that image right now, wow. While with other internet friends... I don't have any courage to actually make friends with them. I know I always appear to be the know-it-all and that's annoying. So I prefer not to talk to much lest I show off my annoying side. To family? I need to appear okay, okay? Everything is okay at home. Even when it isn't, I need to make it appear okay. Home is where I can feel at home, I can't ruin it with unnecessary worries. I need to feel okay, that I'm handling everything okay, when I'm home.

ずいぶんと、身勝手なことを言いたい放題ですね。

Aah. You know what? I know perfectly well that everything is in me. I can easily change the situation if I were a bit braver to step outside my comfort zone. I know. I'm trying to reach out to one friend I used to talk to in college, trying to make myself talk more. But it's so hard to let go of the good-reliable-friend mask I'm wearing. I'm not okay. I can't be reliable. I need help. I need motivation. But every time I try to step out and admit I'm weak, wow it's so shameful that I just reach that persona back. Everything was so much easier when I acted like I could do it.

(Actually, I know the act had been chipping away from me as time pass by, pretty sure everyone in college already how ugly I was by the course of the third year.)

(It's just me who doesn't want to let go of the delusion.)

(I hate myself.)

--------

I'm not okay.

Sometimes I wonder why I stopped going to that psychologist sensei in Japan. It was much easier to talk to strangers, plus I know he wouldn't judge.

But.

As time goes by, I got uncomfortable under his gaze.

I got scared.

What was I scared of? The possibility of him thinking I'm just an edgy girl who got all emo and deluded herself about having a mental illness, or scared I will appear as weak in his eyes?

(I hate myself.)

My first
memory of that day was white snowdrops slowly falling onto me.

I think it was
deep into the night judging from the absence of other noises, but strangely
enough, I didn't register the coldness. Even though it should have been
freezing. I was silent as I laid there on the soft bed made of snow, gazing
blankly at the snow petals. It was so pretty. It was mesmerizing. Had I ever
seen something as majestic before? No, not really. A scenery as beautiful as
this would certainly leave a mark in my memories, yet I could find no such
thing. Ah, yes, this was the first.

And then I
blinked.

sharp chin from down here. Who? I
tried to think with my dull brain, questioning my mute senses about his
arrival. I didn't know if I didn't catch him coming my way, as deep in a trance
as I had been, or if he had been very silent when he approached me.

"Hey,
hey, you can at least look a bit more surprised, you know," the figure
spoke again as he crouched down. He put his chin on one hand, as though he was
bored out of his mind as he peered down. "You're no fun."

I blinked.

"Heh, I
suppose you're too far gone, huh? This won't even hurt then."

What?

My eyes
followed him as he straightened his back with a little heave, as he pulled out
a huge scythe seemingly out of nowhere, as his small lips curved beautifully
into a smirk. When he readied his scythe, though, for a milisecond his cape was
pulled back and I could spot two sparkling crimson eyes. It was then I
understood. Not with my dull brain and mute senses, no. I understood with my
whole soul.

He was my
Death.

Such a
long-awaited reunion. Too bad it would be gone in another second, don't you
think? But I was satisfied, I had no complaint. At the last moment, I was able
to stretch my own lips into a small smile too.

Hello, Death.

"People Feel Fortunate Looking at the Tragedy of Others"
"I Will Strip and Rest My Head on Your Lap"

A shrill scream broke the tranquility of night. Dazai did not even
try to hide the sneer on his face as he gazed at the pitiful man, bound
and blindfolded, his fingers being cracked one by one by Dazai's
underlings. Dazai watched quietly how the man panted harshly, his body
trembling as the Mafia goons let him absorb the pain.

“So,” he started with a cheerful voice, “are you going to tell me who hired you?”

“F-fuck you, Mafia dogs!”

Dazai
raised an eyebrow. He clicked his tongue and signaled his men to break
another couple of fingers. “Wrong answer~” The man shrieked in agony
again. “Come on, I don't want to hurt you any more than this, so why
don't you just sing for me already?”

The bound man, someone with
his own share of torture experience under his sleeve, found strength to
laugh hoarsely at the young executive. “This is nothing, boy. Soon
you'll run out of fingers to break, and you won't get a fucking
information from me!”

“Oh?” Dazai's smile broadened if only a fraction. “I must admit you're a brave man, but...”

Silence
dropped for a second as Dazai trailed off. His men gulped visibly at
how their executive suddenly emanated enough malicious intent befitting
his title as the Demon Prodigy of Mafia. And then Dazai continued,

“Did you think this is the worst treatment you can receive?”

Dazai
Osamu. Youngest Mafia Executive in History, Demon Prodigy, wielder of
the Ability No Longer Human. The brainy half of the most powerful duo of
Port Mafia, Double Black. A young man feared by his enemies and his
allies alike. A boy who had barely turned a man with no sense of
sympathy, just cold calculations.

Today, he finished another
difficult mission, adding to the river-long list of his successful
missions. As he exited the interrogation room—he knew the larger portion
of Port Mafia members dubbed it as the torture room—he noticed his
partner, the brawny half of Double Black, was leaning on the opposite
wall with arms folded in front of his chest.

“Did you get anything out of him?” Nakahara Chuuya asked, though the look in his eyes revealed that he already knew the answer.

“Why, Chuuya, it's bad habit to ask something you already know the answer of!”

That reply apparently made Chuuya tick, just as Dazai expected. Easy, too easy.
“Haa? I'm just trying to be civil!” the redhead snarled. “We worked
hard to bring that guy in, so I want to make sure you do your job
properly!”

“I always do my job properly. And it's just Chuuya who
worked too hard.” Dazai shrugged flippantly and turned to leave. Out of
habit, the smaller man also turned around, his stomps following him
closely.

“That's because you conveniently forgot to tell me there was another squad in wait, asshole!”

“No, I didn't forget. I like to watch Chuuya working for my part too, that's all~”

“What the fuck.”

Chuuya
continued to grumble and threw more complaints to him as they walked
down the hallway. He entertained the redhead with cheerful replies that
were just enough to keep him talking animatedly, though most of them
were filled with ridiculous insults, until they reached the office of
Mori Ogai, boss of Port Mafia. Dazai teased his partner one last time
before he knocked on the door, ready to report.

“Go straight home, Chuuya, or the police will mistake you as an underage roaming around at night~”

“Fuck you, Dazai.”

When
he finished the report and left the room, though, he couldn't find the
small redhead anywhere in the base. A quick look at his phone told him
that Chuuya had indeed headed home and was now safe behind the walls of
his room. Dazai let a chuckle slip through his lips. He pocketed the
phone again and walked swiftly, this time to one hidden bar in downtown.

Dazai
Osamu was many things in one person, but 'a friend' was widely believed
as non-existent among the list. He would prove this wrong time and time
again, however, especially as he sipped a glass of clear whiskey in
this bar, sandwiched between his two friends. A dark-haired man in
glasses and a rough-looking red-haired man. Both did not have a
reputation such as his, but they were people he actually cared about.

“I heard you brought in another man,” Sakaguchi Ango commented off-handedly to him. “How many people does it make this month?”

“Nine.
The boss is getting impatient.” Of course Mori did not appear impatient
at all during his report earlier, but his eyes could see what other
people could not. He did not understand the need to get impatient. For
him, the gears of this particular case was unfolding at a good rate, the
perfect speed which he could enjoy the most. He learned the art of
predictions from Mori, but it seemed like he had beaten the Mafia Boss
in his own game. Dazai took another sip from his glass.

“Hmm,” Oda Sakunosuke, the redhead on his right, muttered. “Was it the man you brought after getting ambushed in the site?”

“Yes.”

Ango eyed him curiously. “You look awfully calm. Was there no casualties?”

“Well, Chuuya got wounded pretty bad, but I've sent him home and put some medicines in his coat pocket, so he should be okay.”

Odasaku
chuckled. “Playing shepherd and shepherd dog again, Dazai?” Both of his
friends had heard about the infamous Double Black's teamwork from Dazai
himself, and they very much understood how the young mafia liked to let
Nakahara Chuuya handle all the fights. It's not the first, most
definitely not the last time, Dazai casually informed them how his
partner got hurt in the process.

“Did he get his wounds treated
properly?” It was not the first time either, that one of them would ask
about Chuuya's wellbeing in concern.

“He may not look like it, but
that shorty is as resilient as a cockroach. He'll be fine,” Dazai threw
a carefree smile at them. What he didn't say, what his friends could
still hear from closed lips, was a simple--

he can still function as my pawn.
Osamu did not feel any sympathy. He was full of cold calculations. And
yet here he was, picking on the lock of Nakahara Chuuya's front door. As
he swung the door open and stepped into the small room, filled with the
scent of antiseptic, he replayed Odasaku's sentence in his head.

“Why don't you show some goodwill for a change? Even a shepherd dog needs to be pampered once in a while to keep it loyal.”

He
didn't really want to admit it, but Odasaku was right. Just a couple of
medicines were not enough. He needed to take care of his pawn properly,
that's why he came to this room. Certainly not to watch the rise and
fall of Chuuya's chest under his blanket, not to gaze at the smooth line
of his jaw, not to trace the curls of his red hair, no. Dazai ignored the subtle ache deep in his chest.

What a farce.

On
second thought, this was unnecessary at all—a pawn would always be a
pawn even without any visible effort to ensure his loyalty. He let out a
sigh before tracing back his steps to the front door. Dazai knew Chuuya
would never betray him, would never betray the Mafia. He could
calculate all the factors in his personality and found no possibility of
the redhead's treason. Afterall, Chuuya was the only one who could
stand face to face to him without whimpering in fear, without donning a
fake smile.

It was only ten in the morning and Chuuya was already fuming inside
his office. He had several reports from his men he needed to go over
before the lunch meeting, and he had planned to do it last night—that
is, until a damn annoying bandage-wasting device showed up on his
doorstep and practically put his plans into flames.

Ever since the incident with the Guild half a year ago, Port Mafia
and Armed Detective Agency had been on a truce, however strained it was,
and Dazai had been taking advantage of it to ruin Chuuya's daily peace.
His ex-partner now liked to visit his apartment every now and then,
sometimes bringing dinner over but most times he just ate whatever food
Chuuya had. (Chuuya had learned to cook for two, after the umpth time he
had to go to bed with half-empty stomach.)

Last night was no different. The suicide maniac came barging in,
spouting nonsense about how the man-tiger finally found his wits and
asked this girl on a date, how the creepy siblings was found making out
in the closet (again), how the sadist doctor got a bouquet from a secret
admirer, yadda yadda. (Chuuya was not paying attention!
He just couldn't help but take in some information because the bastard
was talking right in front of him, across the dining table, with this
huge <strike>cute</strike> grin on his face, okay?) And in the middle of
debating about the pros and cons of 9 mm Beretta, Dazai's hand was
suddenly on his cheek, pulling him in for a searing kiss.

Needless to say, Chuuya didn't get any work done for the rest of the night.

Not to mention, he woke up with a lingering ache in his limbs, making it even harder to leave the bed.

Last night was good, Chuuya begrudgingly admitted, but he didn't need
it in times of urgency! Now he had to skim-read everything, marking and
taking notes, sometimes correcting things in lightning speed. He hated
this. He liked to do his job properly, with enough time, so he
could deliver the presentation perfectly to the boss. Damn that
bandage-wasting device. He's so gonna sock him in the eye the next time
he see him, maim him with his precious knife, then throw the body to the
nearest garbage can.

Glancing at the table-top clock, Chuuya realized more time had passed
and it's nearing lunch time. He needed to leave now to make it to the
main dining hall in time. However, before he could grab all the
documents and place his hat atop his head, a familiar ring cut through
the silence of his office. It was the ringtone. Chuuya
clicked his tongue in annoyance. He briefly contemplating leaving his
phone alone just to make sure he had his sanity intact during the
meeting, but ultimately deciding against it because sometimes, sometimes,
that Mackerel did message him for something important. It might be
another call of distress camouflaged as a flirty message, like the last
time Akutagawa decided to challenge the man-tiger, and Chuuya had to
drag his unconscious body back to Port Mafia base because Dazai's an
asshole.

Yes, there were important times like that, so Chuuya picked his phone
up with great reluctance and glared slightly at the blinking message
notification. “You better make this something worth my while, Mackerel.”

He swiped the lock screen.

And immediately regretted his whole life.

There was a simple photo of Dazai holding out one of his hand,
curving the fingers so that it resembled the shape of a half-heart, with
a caption 'Finish the heart'.

Chuuya tried his best not to activate his Ability and crush the phone
in his hand, because damn he actually liked that phone. It didn't
deserve the destruction meant solely for Dazai! Barely containing his
rage in, Chuuya quickly did whatever popped up in his mind: taking a
selfie with his middle finger raised high for anyone to see, and sent it
straight to Dazai. For better impact, he added a line of text, all in
capitals, that read 'FUCK YOU'.

Hovewer, Chuuya forgot one little thing in his hastiness in dealing
with Dazai's nonsense. He forgot the bastard didn't know any common
sense, much less shame.

He was reminded about this the hard way, because Dazai immediately gave a short reply.

'Yes yes fuck me hard ♥'

This time, his phone did not escape his wrath-filled fist.vianna orchidiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13284051763908117707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363448139878683688.post-3205615315573937192017-01-07T12:50:00.002+07:002017-01-07T12:50:44.899+07:00[Fanfiction] farce

-story start-

The whole house had been buzzing with quick footsteps, ceaseless
orders, and random panicked mutters here and there since early this
morning. Truth to be told, three quarters of the wedding ceremony
preparations that was to be held in this household had been done up to
last night, but as expected the last-minute rush was unavoidable. Chuuya
listened closely from his place in the room, following with his ears
the heavy footsteps of Tachihara who had been passing his room for the
fourth time now—who knew what he had in his arms this time—and the
quiet, reserved voice of Kouyou who was giving out directions to the
servants. Well, it was Kouyou. Chuuya knew the wedding ceremony would be
flawless, just like everything Kouyou handled.

The problem was, he didn't wish for the wedding to happen. His
wedding, to be precise. He wanted nothing more than to tear away from
the ladies painting his face white and curling his hair into intricate
shapes. He wanted to run away from this place, from this town, from the
clutches of that high-class samurai he was going to marry.

“Chuuya,” Kouyou's cool voice pulled him out of the silent rage twirling in his body.

Without moving his body much in consideration for the ladies tending
to his makeup, Chuuya regarded the owner of this establishment.
“Kouyou-anesan,” his answer was flat. He made damn sure Kouyou could
feel the dripping discontent in his tone.

The woman glared at him with narrowed eyes, her beautiful fan
stretched open to hide the lower part of her face. “The groom will
arrive in ten minutes.”

“I see.”

Chuuya's disinterested reply pushed the conversation into a halt,
until Kouyou decided she had had enough of her protégé's irate attitude.

“Be careful, lad. This is your wedding,” she said sharply.

The redhead bride-to-be sneered. It's not usual he's this negative to
the woman he had considered his own sister, but extreme times called
for extreme measures. Chuuya let a snow-white cloth be draped on his
head as he continued to smile in spite. “I don't remember asking for a
wedding, though. I wasn't even one of your geisha. How did I get roped
into this... this farce?”

Slapping her fan closed, Kouyou sighed exasperatedly. “He's an
influential figure in this area. You know how things work here, Chuuya.”

“Did he even know he's marrying a male?”

At Chuuya's question, the older woman giggled heartily. She turned
around gracefully and made to exit the room, unmistakably going to
welcome the groom's party because time was running short. She gave her
answer as a parting message, said airily and lightly as if she's talking
about the cat next door.

“That is for you to find out, lad.”

When he entered the main hall with small steps and saw that brunet
training his gaze at him expectantly, Chuuya drew a shaky breath. The
ladies escorting him would mistake it as one of nervousness, but he knew
better. He was pissed off beyond reason. Damn Kouyou for being one
shady vixen who would sell even him to gain money and popularity for her
establishment. Well, it's not like he didn't learn a thing or two from
her—he might or might not have seduced men and women alike on daily
basis for his own advantage (and amusement)—but fuck it hurt to
be the bargaining chip. And to a marriage, nonetheless. Matrimony was
something he had never considered before, not because he respected it,
but because it meant confinement to one person. He wouldn't be able to
play around anymore! Damn.

Then there's this problem about his... well, seeing as the monk had
declared them husband and wife, he supposed it made this man his husband,
who was smiling gleefully at him, like he had just grasped the very
essence of joy in his hands. For all Chuuya knew, this man didn't even
know that he's not a girl. He had 'fallen in love at first sight' at
Chuuya, who had been loitering around Kouyou's establishment in a female
kimono, complete with the hair ornaments and painted lips. Yeah, well,
Chuuya liked to flaunt his androgynous beauty (he's well aware of people
calling him prettier than Kouyou's most popular girl), but never in his
wildest dream did he expect a marriage proposal right off the bat like
that!

Chuuya stole a glance to his right, where the brunet samurai was
holding his sake cup high in celebration. There were white bandages
covering his arms and neck, mostly hidden from view under his heavy
wedding hakama, and he wondered idly if it continued down his torso.
Perhaps he had gotten severely injured during one of his battles. Was he
an incompetent samurai? Hmph. Maybe if Chuuya's lucky, his husband
would die quickly and he would be free again. He allowed a small smile
sneak in his features as he gracefully drank from his own cup.

“Chuuya.”

Chuuya's throat suddenly tightened at the mention of his name. It
would be the first time he got addressed by the samurai today, and he
had kind of forgotten how smooth his voice was, so much that it startled
him out of his mind. The silky voice continued, “don't drink too much,
okay?”

The way he drawled it made Chuuya couldn't stop the sultry quality in his voice either. “Why is that, Dazai-sama?”

Smiling widely but not without a suggestive glint in his eyes, the
brunet took Chuuya's sake cup into his own and drank the remaining
liquid. “I want to enjoy tonight with you.”

Pfft. So this guy knew how to flirt, fine. At least that was
better than the 'Would you commit double suicide with me, o pretty
lady?' he spewed on their first encounter. But Chuuya wouldn't be Chuuya
if he got defeated here, on his turf. He would retaliate, fighting
tooth and nail if he must, until he emerge victorious against this
bastard.

Besides, Chuuya couldn't wait to see his reaction when they finally reached that stage of 'enjoying the night'.

“Why, Dazai-sama,” he watched the man's face from beneath long
lashes, “forgive my presumptuousness, but it would seem to me that
you've already had something in mind for tonight...?”

Dazai's eyes lit up in... was that mischief? “Actually I have.”

“Oh my, that's very thoughtful of you, Milord.”

“Nothing will stop me from pampering you, my dearest.”

Both of them chuckled lightly, not at all noticing the way their
guests shivered at the sudden drop of temperature nor the way ceramic
cups cracked under the sudden pressure in the air.

It was well into the night. Chuuya pulled his yukata a bit closer
with cold hands, his heart hammering quietly inside his ribcage. He did
not want to admit it, but he was getting increasingly nervous as he
neared the door to his 'newly-weds' room. Both he and Dazai had left the
banquet hall only after all the guests went home, and it was already
dark by then. Then he excused himself to get changed into something more
suitable for sleep, or any other activities before sleep... though to
be honest, Chuuya wasn't sure what to expect tonight. Oh well, the worst
scenario that could happen was getting chased out of the bedroom. No
big deal. He'd make sure Kouyou's name or properties remain unhurt,
though.

But precisely because it was uncertain, Chuuya was getting cold feet
right now. To make it worse, he still didn't know his husband well
enough to make an educated guess of his reaction. The man looked stupid,
what with that silly grin and apparently an obsession to suicide, but
Chuuya was too sharp to miss the dark tension he emanated when talking
to a certain black-haired man earlier at the banquet. It was definitely
not the aura of a naive man. Unfortunately, that was all the leads he
had. No indication whatsover to the brunet's sexual orientation or if he
knew Chuuya's real identity.

He's practically diving head-first into dark water.

All of his thoughts were successfully broken when the sliding door
suddenly opened. Standing beyond it, the samurai smiled gently at him
before gesturing him to enter. “Why didn't you enter? Come, it's cold
outside.”

“Thank you, Milord,” Chuuya returned the smile as he followed him
inside. He was going to sit down when he felt the weight of a stare
directed at him. Silently, he eyed the man back, daring him to comment.

The samurai smirked from his place on the futon, clearly amused at
his bride's obvious defiance. “You know...” he started, “you were
stunning in your wedding garb earlier, but this simple yukata suits you
as well.”

Chuuya, taking the comment as a challenge, slowly approached the man
and climbed onto his lap. He knew his movements were screaming
sensuality—he had trained day and night to achieve this level of
seductiveness—and he enjoyed how the man's red-brown eyes were glued to
his whole body. In the back of his mind as he circled his arms around
the other man's neck, Chuuya prepared himself for a violent backlash
when this man found out he's not a girl. Oh how he's gonna laugh his ass
off.

“Wouldn't you like to find out how I look... without anything on?” he asked with half-lidded eyes.

“Since you're offering so nicely...” His husband chuckled, his
fingers slowly but surely pulling the sash keeping Chuuya's yukata
together. This was it. The moment of truth. Chuuya closed his eyes and
held his breath in, shrugging the cloth off his shoulder until it caught
on his elbows.

Chuuya waited for a response. Waited...

Shit, did this man faint from sheer shock?

When Chuuya opened his eyes in panic, he was floored because his husband was... too busy trying to stifle his laugh.

What the fuck?

“Pfft, Chuuya! You should have seen your face! Ahahaha! Oh dear, this
is too much, I can't breathe, help...” the man wheezed, one arm
pressing against his own stomach, no mistake because he laughed too
much, while the other arm was still around Chuuya's waist—who, by the
way, was frozen in shock.

“Wha— wait, fucker, you mean—” the redhead stumbled around his words, unable to form a coherent sentence. “You—you knew?”

The man wiped one stray tear from his eye. “Of course I knew!”

“Then why did you marry me?!” Chuuya cried out, quickly shifting from shock into rage.

“Why? Because I wanted to harass you, what else~?”

The tell-tale sound of a vein snapping resounded in the otherwise silent room.

'Did he even know he's marrying a male?'

'That is for you to find out, lad.'

Trembling in barely-contained anger, Chuuya replayed his conversation
with Kouyou earlier this morning. He was one hundred percent sure that
vixen lady was well aware Dazai knew, and conspired with this man to
trick him. So he was getting all nervous and worried all day for
nothing?

The redhead applied pressure to the neck inside his grasp, strangling the still giggling man under his body.

“Die. You. Jerk.”

“Ahahahk! Chuuya, wait, I haven't, ahk! Had my way, kh, with you!”

“I don't care. Die.”

His plan to kill the man right there right then was ruined because he
was easily lifted and pushed into the bed, like he weighed nothing. The
brunet hovered over him with a mischievous grin on his face. “While it
is my wish to die, I'd prefer screwing you first before going to the
next world~”

“Pervert!”

“Is Chuuya blushing? Tsk tsk, you're so innocent, we haven't even started.”

Chuuya wanted to rebut—because hello, he's the player here—but then
the brunet started showering kisses along his neck and shoulder, each
one getting rougher than before, until he bit down hard on the flesh
where neck met shoulder, causing Chuuya to gasp. Meanwhile, his hands
were wandering up and down Chuuya's bare torso, delighting in the
involuntary shudder he made.

“Hmm, have you ever had sex with a man, Chuuya?” his husband asked against his Adam's apple.

“I—” A groan interrupted his speech. “Of course I have.” He had
teased and pleasured many men, even though he's not officially Kouyou's
geisha, just because he could. And, because the presents they gave were
not half-bad.

The samurai now moved his lips to his face, kissing Chuuya's temple and nose and cheek and jaw and mouth. “With a woman?”

“That too.” Chuuya gasped against the man's soft lips at the feeling of fingers teasing his buds.

“And?” the brunet smirked, his face still hovering really close to
Chuuya's. The smaller man felt his heart jumped. He's damned to hell and
back because he honestly found that smirk hot and all his ministrations
were turning him on fast. “Which one do you like better?”

“As long as it's good sex, I don't care.”

“Hee...,” his husband sat back up, his red-brown eyes raking Chuuya's
body from head to toe. When he's satisfied at the flush covering his
face and upped torso, the damn samurai moved to strip himself of his
night clothes and retrieve a bottle of lube from near the closet. “Then I
guess I have to make it really good to make sure you don't go to other
people, right, Chuuya?”

The smug expression on his face sent shivers down Chuuya's spine—both
from excitement, judging by the way his member twitched, and from
annoyance, from the way he wanted nothing more than to smack this
asshole in the head.

Let's just say Chuuya had a long, pleasurable night filled with
erotic moans that ended with him finally giving his husband an iron fist
before both of them drifted to sleep. The asshole deserved that.

By the way, what could he do to take revenge on Kouyou? Hmm...

I need to warn you first though. This universe is basically my utopia(?) where I can apply as many tropes as I like into it, resulting in a ambiguous storyline/setting. Like, one second I want it this way, but the next I want it that way. Have never put it into stone, so I might be a little vague here. I also have the most absurd plot. Not to mention the amount of mary-su/gary-stu here... I can't---

Beware of length. (I swear to God I didn't mean it to be this long but then I realized it's better if I explain the minor characters as well and it just----- I guess I'm just letting out everything I never have the chance to properly write?)

[Queen of Prophecies]

[Luna]
I once made a full name for her.... but it sounds so weird I just had to stop. I think it's Lunaniar something?

I don't know when to stop when talking about this girl (and universe) so
I won't even put up spoiler tag. Basically everything about her is only revealed in
the story development and all.

The very queen of prophecies herself! She is a young queen of Luciel kingdom, present age 22-ish. She was crowned as queen soon after the previous king's passing, when she's just 15, but in name only. She first spent 3 years studying more about governing a country. During that time, the official goverment matters were handled by the ministers. She took up the goverment after she turned 17. Even then, no one doubted her ability to govern... because she has shown a talent for it since childhood. Well, it's basically good genes (her father was a smart and wise young king, her mother was the best magic user in the kingdom and the first female general in the army).

But, there's also another reason Luna is highly respected. It's because she can see the future. Though it heavily leans toward a prediction of death, this ability has saved their country many times. Besides, due to the burden of seeing people's death ahead of time, she has this wisdom her peers do not. (Basically she grows too fast because of her ability.)

Her mother died soon after giving birth to her. That's why she was very close with her father. But their country got involved in war, and one day Luna saw that her father was going to die in the battlefield. She tried her best to stop him from going, but the kind and brave king told her that if he was to die then so be it, as long as he could protect his beloved country. And so he went, and met his death. Luna, deep in sorrow, took the throne and did her best to advocate peace and stop the war, supported by the ministers.

Because of this tragedy, Luna becomes a very withdrawn girl. She is polite and friendly to everyone, but always draws a line somewhere. She smiles but is actually empty inside. She believes that her father's death is her fault, as well as all those deaths she sees everyday. Such thoughts keep her awake at night or manifest into nightmares, so she has to take sleeping pills regularly to be able to sleep just enough to get by. She also has a new routine: going to the people she sees in her vision, either to help them avoid death (if possible), or to let them go in peace. Because of this, she is known as a down-to-earth queen, kind and caring, almost like a goddess. Everyone adores her, but no one knows the struggles she faces everyday. Only her physicians know about her sleeping pills, but even they can't find out the real reason she needs those. All in all, she's just fighting her demons alone.

She meets Willian and appointed him as her knight at 20, so they've been together for 2 years when the story starts (the journey begins). More about journeys below.

Luna wields dual guns, best of the best. She has almost perfect accuracy, and she can feel the shift in air. She is also adept in magic, especially support magic. Because she's more of a long-range type, she usually acts as the strategist and stays in the backlines during battles.

I actually don't know what she looks like. I just know she has that calm face. Maybe brown to darker brown hair? She wears long dresses during her time in the castle, but her battle gear for the journey has a short skirt and a cape. The holsters are on her lower back.

Vaguely realizes she has a crush on William, but is too afraid to act on it. When Maria tries to catch Will's attention (a bit obnoxiously tbh), she gets jealous but chooses to grief by herself (yeah right). Later when she is about to perform the releasing ritual, she asks Maria to take care of Will.

[William]
Or Will. A rough-looking guy with wild hair and slightly tanned skin. He came from a village far from Luciel. He came to Luciel in order to find the 'Queen of Prophecies', because that is the only clue he has about the man who burned down his entire village. He's 2 years older than Luna, and the incident about his village happened when he's 14. Ever since then, he's been travelling, asking for money or odd jobs to people in order to survive, and sometimes he learns about sword skill from travelers he meets. When he's 19, he is taken in by a sword master (almost the border of Luciel) where he learns swordsmanship seriously for 4 years before going to the queen.

When he finally meets Luna, the queen suddenly appoints him as her knight despite loud protests from her retainers. She then says it's something she has seen in her vision, effectively shutting them all. William himself isn't sure what to make of it... He means, he's just a homeless orphan who just wants to avenge his family/friends. Never once he dreamed about being a queen's knight.

After officially dubbed as a knight, he's trained heartlessly by the generals of the army (claiming that he needs to be worthy of his title) and becomes a master in swordsmanship as the result. No one can beat him, not even on unfair ground. He finally can say proudly that he's the queen's knight.

Only for Luna to announce they are to depart for a journey. The journey he came to Luciel for: looking for the man who destroyed his life. He is surprised, but cannot (will not) object. As both of them set out, Luna entrusts her crown to one of the most loyal, closest in blood to the royal family. William notes this as something odd, as if Luna is ready to give up the throne and thus chooses the most suitable one to take over the crown. But he stays silent.

As a knight, William fights in the frontline. He relies more on speed/agility than brute force. He can't use magic. Two years staying with Luna gives him complete trust for Luna's strategies and orders, and he follows them all without any hesitation.

Later, in the climax of story, he finds the man he's been looking for. He is surprised to find him looking the same as all those years ago. It turns out the man is a vampire, immortal and unaging. 10 years ago, the vampire, who longs for death, met young Luna. He saw that Luna wasn't any ordinary girl, so he striked up a deal with the still-naive kid: he would grant her wish but she had to find a way to kill him off in the future. One misunderstood wish later, the vampire destroyed Will's village, went into hiding and waited.

In present, the vampire is overjoyed to see Luna again, together with her powerful party. She keeps her promise: they kill him. The one who deals the finishing blow is William, who burns with anger and desire for revenge. But to embrace death means letting go of the curse, and without a carrier, the curse is then transferred to the killer--William becomes a vampire.

This revelation sets rage into William and the others, directed at Luna. How can't they? Luna is basically the reason William lost his home, and now she's also the one who devises the plot so that William gets cursed. They (especially William) loses faith in Luna, pushing her away.

Until Luna comes to Will boldly, ordering him to drink her blood (because if it's not an order, he's never going to do it). It causes Will to get angrier and he ends up hurting her.

But later that night, another big revelation is disclosed, and rage turned into grief.

(I told you, I don't know where spoilers begin.)

He respects Luna and never considers her an object of affection because he puts her on a pedestal. (But who are you kidding, Will. You care for her more than anyone, borderline a husband.) He responds more positively to Maria's approaches. But when he finds out about Luna's deepest fears and sadness, he decides to stick with her until the end.

[Steven]
Or Steve. A blond country guy with much too pure smile to be true. (Another cinnamon roll.) In a way, he's Luna's childhood friend because the king often visited his town (near Luciel capital) and Luna met him by accident. Steve has always been a kind guy, and he doesn't really care about Luna's status as a royalty, so they become friends in no time.

Luna and William come to him first when they start the journey to ask him to join. Steve doesn't instantly agree, but rather lets them do some kind of test first. He isn't very sure about the purpose of the journey, afterall. He's not sure why they chose him either. In the end, he joined the party.

Steven is a simple guy who always tries to stay positive. He wields a sword, but unlike Will, relies more on power. He can't use magic either.

I must admit his character isn't as developed as the others...

[Maria]
A nun in a church. Well, to be more accurate, a nun in the battle squad... Like the army part of the church association? She is the fourth member of the party. The story of why she is chosen and how she joins is unclear (to me, lol).

She's a brash and loud girl, she fears nothing, she's straightforward. She wears a modified nun uniform; because she's in the battle squad, her nun uniform actually functions as a battle gear too. She wields an axe, and hell she's deadly with it. She can use magic (because she's a nun) but it's nowhere near Luna's level, even though she's more adept in offense magic. She fights in the front line. One of her most fearsome point is her endless energy.

During the journey, she develops a crush on William. Oh she knows Luna is jealous, but as long as the queen doesn't say anything, she ain't gonna stop pursuing Will. But later, when Luna cracks a little, she finally relents and cease her flirtings. When nearing the ritual and Luna asks her to take care of Will, she can't help but cry for Luna (even though it doesn't match her personality at all).

[Elena]
Not human. More like an embodiment of magic? She has been around for more than a hundred years. Originally created as a weapon for war, she was then imprisoned in a magic tower. Because of this, she doesn't really understand humans as well as the developments in human world. Luna's party infiltrates the tower to rescue her, but instead she can't understand why they must do it. She also can't grasp how the party, seemingly disfunctional because the members' personalities crash with each other, can be a strong team when it comes to battles. But after watching them engage in a battle, she gets charmed and thus agrees to follow them.

(I don't know where to put this, but Elena originally thinks that her function is only during war. Going out of the tower means causing a war. She doesn't like it, so she accepts her fate, imprisoned forever in that tower. But Luna and the others are able to convince her that her existence can help in good things too, not just in wars. Besides, she has developed a personality, making her an independant being and thus able to choose what to do.)

As a not-human, Elena doesn't have many emotions d/h expressions. She has long blonde hair and pale complexion. She uses a spell tome as a weapon (more like, to channel her magic). Because her very core is magic itself, she has inexhaustible magic power and it's very very strong, as expected from the ex-weapon of war. Her specialty is wide-area magic spells (she can afford this because she doesn't run out of magic). She usually stands in the backlines with Luna, using magic to attack and heal, sometimes support (support is usually Luna's part).

You can say she's the only one who still trusts Luna, though just a fraction, when Will is turned into a vampire. She is the one who finds out about the ritual to erase the vampire curse completely. It may be surprising, but if you think about it, Luna's words and personality are what convinced her to leave the tower, so it's kinda natural she gets more than a little attached to the queen.

After the journey is finished, she separates way from her companions and begins to go around the world, to interact with humans, to help civilizations flourish. And she hopes one day, she will finally find a content death. (Though she swears she absolutely won't resort to the evil ways like the vampire once did.)

---
Side characters (who doesn't have a name nor clear setting. Some are from the so-called prequel and sequel.)

[Luna's father]
The previous king of Luciel Kingdom. A wise man, brave and strong too. Before stepping up the throne, he used to be a well-respected crown prince who has led the army into victory many times. (In the past, there were lots of war so most of his time is focused to fighting battles and/or making strategies.) He was crowned as king at a young age, maybe around late 20ies. He then married the infamous female general of the magic squad.

When his wife died soon after giving birth to Luna, he was sad and vowed not to take a new bride. In consequent, he became attached to Luna (and vice versa). He often took Luna with him when doing various business trips. (That's how Luna met Steve and Will as a child.)

He went to that battle which took his life despite Luna's warning, mainly because in his calculation, this one battle will determine the outcome of the war. He's just that loyal to his country.

The story how he met and later married Luna's mother is depicted in the prequel.

[Luna's mother]
She's famous for being the first female general of Luciel's army. She is a very powerful magic user, and she commands the magic section. She's brave and strong-willed, also has a quick wit. (It's something she needs to survive in the male-dominated army, afterall.)

She is actually not native to Luciel. She came from a far land, in the middle of traveling around the world when she stumbled upon the capital city of Luciel, and it's just by accident (and following the flow of things) that she ended up in the army.

Before being promoted into a general, she doesn't see the crown prince much. She works in the different section of the army, afterall. (The magic section is a bit isolated from the general army. Even as a part of the army, they are mostly scholars who seek to improve their magic by researching, not just training.) But she quickly climbs the ranks, putting into shame her seniors using her outstanding magic and wit, and suddenly (maybe like 3-4 years since she joined army?) she's sitting at the conference of the higher-ups. That's when she starts interacting with the crown prince. (He's curious about her, like everyone else.) As time goes by, they get closer and intimate, and one day the prince gives her a promise ring.

Life happens, wars come by, shenanigans occur, time passes. The prince is crowned king. Their relationship is mainly hidden, but more and more people become aware of it. Until he proposes to her. Everyone is happy. (This is basically the whole point of the prequel.)

But she dies after giving birth to Luna.

.........or maybe not.

She's still alive, hiding away in the forest of elves, as one of the elders. Yeah, she decided to erase her existence in Luciel because she's not aging and people are getting suspicious. It hurts to leave her husband and daughter behind, but the existence of elves must never be revealed to humans.

She has powerful magic because she's an elf. She is way wiser than anyone else because she's lived two times longer than them. She was in a journey to see the outer world after having a fall-out with her family in the elves' den, her being a curious child. She accepted the offer to join the army because she wanted to try something new. She figured staying outside for 5 or 10 years won't affect her family much, time passes differently for them afterall.

After faking her death, she returns to the forest of elves and gets punished severely. She takes the punishment willingly, and after completing it, she once again resumes her position as one of the elders.

One day Luna and Will stumbles upon the forest of elves and find out that she's her mother. It is not a pretty reunion, but Luna, who never sees her mother and thus never loves her as much as she loves her father, finally (grudgingly) accepts the fact. It's not like it means anything, anyway. Luna's mother has no intention of taking claim of her, or trying to act motherly for once. (She knows it's too late.) So in the end Luna and Will leaves with the new knowledge of Luna being a half-elf, that's all.
(This is part of the sequel) (The sad thing is no, Luna's father never knew about this.)

[The vampire]
A lonely man who gets twisted after years of seeking death. He met young Luna once, ten years ago. It was at Will's village.

(Let's talk about Luna and Will's past! Sorry Mr. Vampire for stealing your space.)
So actually Luna has met Will during childhood. Just once though, and mostly in passing, so Will doesn't remember anything about it. But it's impactful for Luna.

Luna, who was about 10 at that time, had been feeling down because of her ability to foresee death. Her peers didn't want to get involved with her because she's creepy, she brought bad things (you know how cruel kids can be). So yeah, she's feeling down. And then at this faraway land, she saw a boy carrying an old dog. She couldn't stop her mouth and said that the dog was going to die soon. The boy looked at her, bewildered, and Luna already regretted running her mouth like that. But then, the boy asked her if his dog's death would be an easy one. Luna confirmed it, though hesitantly, only to be blown off by the boy's big smile. He even said thank you to her, for telling him that. He said its a good thing she could tell the future, because it gave him enough time to prepare for a nice deathbed for his dog. Stunned, Luna could only cry silently as the boy left. It's like she'd found a new meaning to her ability.

Years later, Luna came back to the same village. She really wanted to find that boy again, to thank him, to befriend him. But what she found was a beaten-up boy, looking glum and sorrowful. A victim of bullying, she realized. She barely knew the boy, but she knew he's a good person, a really kind and wonderful person--and so her heart broke watching him holding back tears as he put bandages on his wounds. (She just watched from afar, not knowing how to approach him.) How could people treat him like garbage like that? He definitely deserved better.

This is where the vampire showed up. As I explained before, he offered to grant Luna's wish if she agreed to kill him in the future. Guess what wish she made? Yeeah, she asked him to 'punish the people who hurt that boy'.

The vampire burned the whole village because, well, everyone in that village had hurt him.

But the arson happened after Luna returned back to the palace, so she didn't know about it. It's only after a few days that the news reached the palace, and she was devastated. She never meant for massacre like that! (And, because it's caused by an unknown force a.k.a the vampire's vampiric ways(?) she didn't see it in her vision either.) Ever since then, she had always searched for ways to atone for her sin.

Well, to be honest, this is also the main reason Luna never acted on her tiny crush on Will. She felt too guilty.

Let's go back to Mr. Vampire. Well, he's mostly a myterious being. (Maaaaybe he's there for the sake of plot only???) He calls Luna 'Little Miss Fortune-Teller'. His last words to Luna is 'thank you' and 'I'm sorry'. He most likely has figured out what she plans to do after having the curse on William, and so he's sorry for putting her in such position.

[Luna's mentor]
So this one is definitely nothing more than an additional side chara lol. But I feel that his profile is needed to see more into Luna's development. (I know she's got plenty already! I just want to, okay? xD)

Uhh he is the so-called mercenary prodigy. He is like the strongest mercenary, and he can use any kind of weapon. He met Luna in the Luciel kingdom shortly after the previous king's passing. He was just in the right place at the right moment--he saved Luna from an assassin (well, at that time the peace is not exactly achieved yet). As a form of gratitude, Luna invited him to the palace.

During his stay in the palace, this guy noticed how Luna was trying to suppress her sadness over her father's death. I mean, he's a damn mercenary and he had had lots of clients with various situations, and he definitely could see a mask when he saw one. But whatever he did to make her relax a little was futile; Luna was too stubborn.

One day, Luna accidentally walked in on him training his dual gun. Just out of curiosity, he offered to teach her guns. Luna accepted, being curios as well, and.... it's like she's finally found her passion? She quickly adapted to the weapon and began serious training under his tutelage. She trained almost like possessed by something. The mercenary figured this was her way to let out the piling stress and emotion, so he let her shoot as much as she wanted.

In the end, by the time the mercenary took his leave, Luna was already a deadly master of dual guns. Yes, this is the history of how Luna became a monster of dual gun: trained under the most terrifying mercenary.

During their journey, Luna's party encountered this guy. Then he challenged them to a duel, one by one, if to push them beyond their limit and increasing their skill/power. It's an epic duel, truly. He could easily overpower each of them even though they had their own strong points. The most amazing one was the mercenary vs Elena, as it's sword vs magic.

[Luna's descendant]
He appears in the sequel. Uhhh actually not actually her descendant because Luna never did get married. Remember the guy Luna appointed to take care of the kingdom as she set off on the journey? Well, he later became king because he's the biggest candidate for the throne after Luna's 'death'. This guy then had children and so on, and that is where this particular descendant comes.

So let me explain the situation here. Luna, after discovering that she's a half-elf, realizes that she won't age in the same way as normal humans. It's kind of proven because some time after her journey (and she resumes her duty as the queen), her appearance does not change a bit. She decides to follow her mother's examples and fakes her death, then hides away. Will, whose body still had the effects of his vampire curse and does not age as quickly either, follows her. Only their former party members know the truth, and they swear to secrecy.

Luna and Will travel to a lot of places while keeping their identity anonymous. Eventually, Will grows too old to continue travelling (while Luna remains young) and he dies peacefully in her company.

Luna, now all alone, continues to travel. One day she ends up back to where she starts: the capital of Luciel Kingdom. It has grown in many ways, and while she ponders around, she accidentally catches the eyes of a young nobleman. He tells her that she looks awfully like the most popular queen of Luciel's history, Queen Luna. When he finds out even her name is the same, Luna awkwardly reasons that when she was born, her parents thought she looked like the legendary queen and so named her after the queen. Fortunately, the man readily accepts her excuse.

The man later then invites her to his place because Luna does not have a place to stay yet. Which turns out... to be the very palace she lived in, about 300 years ago. Yeeaaaah, the guy is the crown prince. Surprise, surprise.

This crown prince is an outgoing person, sometimes too stubborn for his own good, but courteous as hell to ladies. His dashing look and gentleman mannerism gains him a lot of fans. Even Luna herself admits she has a crush on him, after spending quite some time with him. (It's been a long time since Will's death, but this is the first time she actually tries to move on. A big gamble on her part (what with her nature), but she really can't help falling for that carefree smile.)

The story of this sequel is mainly about Luna's relationship with this man. Completely a romance. There are some heartbreaks, but ultimately they live happily ever after.

---

About the storyline... Obviously I've done it in the character sections, but I notice I haven't really touched on the subject of the ritual to lift Will's curse. Mainly it's because I have too vague of an image of it? Generally it's something Luna wants to do secretly, because she doesn't want to be stopped. It has something to do with sacrificing oneself. Obviously, Luna is prepared to offer her life--it's the only atonement she can think of after causing so much suffering to Will. (That's why she asks Maria to take care of Will.... because she plans to die.)

But she ends up returning to her kingdom???? That's because after completing the ritual, she suddenly just opens her eyes again??? It's kinda a lolz moment, where her companions are crying and grieving and all and she just, comes back to life.

So it turns out, the ritual only takes her precognition off of her. Like, the ability itself counts as a whole soul/life. It's sucked off as the cost of the ritual, while leaving her soul/life intact. That's why she is able to survive the ritual. She then returns to her kingdom as a normal human, no longer the Queen of Prophecies.

Aaaand, that's it!
I can't believe I spent more than a week to complete this very long, very complex blog post. It beats me doing a oneshot. Lololol. I guess I just really want to put this out for you guys to see <3
For those who manage to read to this point, congratulations. Thank you.vianna orchidiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13284051763908117707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363448139878683688.post-2733342018953610562016-11-30T21:28:00.003+07:002016-12-02T22:07:43.002+07:00More About OCs: The Twin WitchesI don't have any homework for once so here I am!!! (Pssh what do you mean I need to do that translation request and that short essay for literature class tomorrow)

I'm going to write more about my kids~ I was initially going to talk about The Queen of Prophecies but I'm guessing it will be so long that I can't finish in one sitting, so here it is:

[The Twin Witches]

Vidia Recranis Soubrugh
(I'm not even trying to pretend I've thought about basic info like birthday and blood-type anymore)

Main character! Probably the most chuuni-affected chara because excuse me I was in middle school. Lol. She has waist-length silver hair, red eyes and cold facial expression. I'm imagining her with Ushiromiya Ange's blazer and long skirt with quite a high slit, black as her main color. Wields a sword. Her summon is The Twelve Signs of Zodiac. Basically has overkill skills with her sword and summons. She is dubbed as The Hacker in the underworld because she's able to inflitrate any kind of place to gather information, but it's not widely known that she can fight. (By the way, magic is something only few people know about in this universe.)

Personality-wise, she's cold and calculating, but actually a big softie
inside. She likes children. She is a bit uptight about how to face a
fight (like, honor and all that stuff). She can use most kind of weapons, but decides to stick with a normal sword. (Fun fact: I'm picturing her sword like Xerxes Break's sword.)

I'm debating whether to disclose this information or not, but oh, might as well. Full spoilers ahead:
She has the appearance of a 18 years old but actually has lived longer than 100 years. It is because she is cursed to be unable to die; her heart (the beating one) is not in her body. The actual reason she keeps doing jobs as The Hacker is to find leads to where her heart is, so that she can finally lift the curse.

Aishvera Rudonia Soubrugh
If you can't tell from the title and her name already, she's Vidia's twin. (Fun fact: I keep confusing her middle name with Vidia's. Nicknamed Vera.) (Aishvera is by far my most favorite name and I feel I've accomplished something big by creating her name lol.)

She has waist-length black hair, red eyes, and cold smile. She wears a white dress. (She and Vidia are very much influenced by Pandora Heart's Alice.) She uses the forbidden time magic and her summon is still unknown. Unlike Vidia, she can't use any weapon but her magic is so abundant that magic alone is enough for her.

Personality-wise, she's just as cold and calculating as Vidia, though her ever-present smile makes her creepier. No one knows what's going on in her head. One thing is for sure though: she loves her twin sister very much.

More spoilers ahead:
Is the one who cursed Vidia. Well, the main reason is because 'she wants to be with Vidia forever' but it sounds creepy af so lemme add something. When they were 18, it was known that Vidia, housing 12 summons inside her body, was bound to die sooner than later. She didn't want Vidia to die so soon so she took Vidia's heart, preventing the older sister from dying. But she kinda did it forcefully, resulting in a mess that took their parents' lives too, so she ran away. Because of that, Vidia now hunts her like a sworn enemy, not like a sister who wants a reunion. (She's always been on the creepier side since childhood, but deep down she just loves her twin.)

Frechordo Terrantuo
A young nobleman who asks The Hacker to find his missing little sister. He is just 25-ish but already has the responsibility as the head of Terrantuo family. Red long hair, green eyes, high-class suit. Also a master in swordsmanship. He is kind, sincere, cares about his servants/workers, generally an absolute cinnamon roll. Actually has a quick wit. May or may not have a sister-complex. This character is heavily influenced by Luke fon Fabre (Tales of the Abyss) and Ushiromiya Battler (Umineko).

At first, he was wary of Vidia because she has that cold demeanor, but like the cinnamon roll he is, he quickly warms up to her and begins to care for her. (It baffles Vidia as well. How could such a gullible man be the head of a noble family and doesn't cause it to fall.) Later, after witnessing Vidia's fights, he is smitten with the girl lol. (I guess it makes him a total sub xD)

He doesn't have magic (and didn't know it exists until he meets Vidia), but his excellent sword skill enables him to fight a summon on a fair ground. I know, that's crazy, but eh. /shrugs/

He has been looking for his little sister since she disappeared to thin air about one year ago. His investigation leads him to one place (the Collun family's mansion) but it's not some place he can just waltz in so when he catches wind about The Hacker, he immediately contacts her. Who knew he ends up going to infiltrate the mansion together with Vidia. That's where he finds out about magic and summon, as they fight their way into the deepest part of the mansion. (This part gives off a RPG feeling... I think that was the time I was hyped in ToA, Grandia 3 and FFX....)

By the way, his nickname (courtesy of his sister) is Ferc.

Fransesca Terrantuo
Ferc's missing sister. She is a sweet girl who wears blue-green long dress. Also has red hair and green eyes. She has great potential in magic, which is the reason she was abducted by Collun. Her summons are Caladrius (healing properties) and Undine (water properties). She can use bows and arrows, though she is immediately overwhelmed by Vidia's skill in wielding bows once she sees it lol. The poor kid.

Spoiler~
She is actually 14 but her body is altered by magic into that of a 18 years old. The reason is to bring out the best magic potential in her. Her 14 y.o body is too frail and can't handle the burden of having two powerful summons, so Collun asks someone to alter her body. And, surprise, Aishvera is that someone. Her time magic allows Fran's body to grow faster, though it means Fran won't grow anymore until she turns 18 naturally.

In Collun's custody, she trains her magic and summons, as well as becomes a test subject to create summon stones. She befriends(?) one of Collun's strongest subject there. When Ferc and Vidia finds her, she doesn't immediately tell Ferc that she's the sister he's looking for. She is too afraid to tell the truth.

Later, she gets close with Vidia, and knowing that Ferc likes the older girl, supports him to get together with her. She also joins them in the quest of tracking Aishvera down. She has business with that witch too, you know, as the one who altered her body.

Gamma
The one Fran befriends in Collun mansion. Originally an ordinary man who has magic potential, he becomes one of Collun's test subjects and receives a summon stone. His summon is Beira (ice properties). He is tall with muscles visible. His hair is dirty blond, short. His color scheme is white-blue-grey. Wields a spear. And he is as cold as his summon lol. His face is expressionless, basically a stone.

Buuut hahaha he warms up in Fran's presence, like ice turning into water (reference to their respective summons intended). I guess he actually is the type that likes small, cute animals? That's why he's weak against Fran lol. (I mean, even with her grown-up body, Fran still looks like a little girl if she stands next to Gamma xD) It's quite obvious he likes Fran romantically, though Fran mostly still cares for him as a big brother figure. Don't worry, he has chance because Fran cares a bit too much to be platonic. He just needs to wait a bit until the girl realizes it.

(Truth to be told, his initial relationship with Fran is based off of
Inoue Orihime and Ulquiorra in Bleach. Well, the romanticized version of
it, anyway.)

At first he opposes Ferc and Vidia, preventing Fran from leaving the mansion because 'she can't return to the normal world anymore'. Later he joins the group (because how can he live separated from Fran???). He even follows them in the quest of tracking Aishvera down.

Fun fact: he is basically the third boss-level enemy Ferc and Vidia face in Collun's mansion, thus Gamma. The first is Alpha with Loch Ness summon, the second is Beta with Cheiron and Griffin.

---

As I had stated in my first post about OCs, I have already written this until halfway through. In crappy writing, but at least I have the plot clear until that point lol. The other half... I have planned some things but am still unsure how to wrap things up. So yeah, the character informations are quite detailed but no one knows what happens next.

It's not supposed to be a romance but in the end it is heavily romanced. You know what? Ferc and Vidia are canon!! They have admitted their feelings!! Aaah, I just can't get away from romance orz.

This universe is one that lacks originality lol. Soooo many influences here and there. Not to mention mary-sue/gary-stu properties are thrown here and there. That's why I'm a bit reluctant to use this universe and its characters. Or maybe I'm just lazy xDDvianna orchidiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13284051763908117707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363448139878683688.post-8163410897182865112016-11-18T21:29:00.001+07:002016-11-18T21:29:23.236+07:00More about OCs: DreamweaverI was dead this morning (slept at 4 a.m lol) but I've recovered~ So now that tomorrow is no college day, I'll talk about more OCs!

[Dreamweaver]

Hikaru Akiyama Widjaja (in Japanese style: 秋山 光)

100% Japanese. Her parents got divorced when she's in 8th grade so Akiyama is her mother's family name. When she's in 10th grade, her mother remarried with an Indonesian man, hence the Widjaja name. I used Indonesian old spelling for the name to give some old, wealthy family vibes because her step-father is like a super rich businessman. Soon after the remarriage, she and her mother moved to Surabaya, Indonesia.

She can speak Indonesian, but with this weird accent and she sometimes makes mistakes on words/expressions. Her English is mediocre at best :"""

She is now in 11th grade, soon moving to 12th grade. 16 y.o. Gemini? Blood type O.

Believe it or not, she has bright caramel/honey colored hair. The school tries to get her to dye it black, but she insists that it's her natural color, thus not breaking any rules. I'll leave it to your imagination whether she's telling the truth or not, but the fact remains that she actually wins the argument xD Her hair is armpit-length and styled hime-cut (you know, straight cut with front bangs).

Her skin is fair, and she likes to groom herself, so her nails are shiny and she curls her eyelashes daily (no mascara so the teachers can't complain).

Her grades are so-so. She's struggling because all lessons are in Indonesian (and sometimes Javanese), but can actually catch up with the contents. She hates essays because she takes twice as much time to answer decently. She and her mother also have a home tutor who teaches Indonesian and comes twice a week.

She likes cosplay! She sews her own costume and she does her own makeup. She also dances for the cosplay performance. She's especially happy that cosplay is popular in Surabaya. She joins a cosplay community there, and regularly goes to cosplay events.

She's a fun girl, always cheerful and laughs a lot. Mostly an extrovert, she can befriends anyone in the span of 10 minutes. Hikaru seems like someone who works hard on everything she does. Sassy is her middle name. She runs her mouth like a train with no brakes when arguing with someone (suspiciously, this may be one of the reasons her teachers give up on the hair color subject).

Outside school, she has a distinct style with lots of hats and boots. She kinda likes Indonesia's weather because it means she can wear cute summer dresses most of the time, but she also dislikes it because she can't wear her winter boots (those are ultra cute, you know!!!) She has long accepted the fact that she really stands out among the Indonesians with her attires and just goes with it.

This is kinda related to storyplot, but she hates her blood father. She's really glad her step-father is nothing like him.

Febrian (I still can't make a new full name for him.... his original name was so cool and I loved it and I want it baaaack sobs sobs)

100% Indonesian. 26 y.o. Err, Aries? Probably an A.

Teaches Japanese Language at Hikaru's school 8))) Yes, the genre is romance 8)))

He's one of those guys who has fair skin and black hair and zero acnes. You can say he's got a baby face... a constantly gentle face. Originally has somewhat longer hair, but since becoming a teacher, he has to cut it. Outside school, he wears polo and jeans and sneakers.

He is originally from Jakarta before moving to Surabaya because he got accepted as a teacher at Hikaru's school.

Just like his face, he is generally a gentle person. Sometimes reckless, yes, but he prefers not to get into fights/troubles. He's young, he's handsome, he's kind, he's good at what he does; you can imagine he's really popular among the girls (or maybe among the boys too). Actualy did (illegal) motorbike race about 3-4 years ago.

Has a younger brother. His family stays in Jakarta, though.

He kinda takes advantage of Hikaru being a Japanese to help him prepare teaching materials or grading papers. They both like the extra alone-time though 8))))

About the storyline:
I gave weird suggestive comments in Febrian's description, but honestly the story itself isn't about 'student/teacher romantic relationship'. I mean, at some point it is, but it's not how things started.

So actually the story begins a little before Hikaru moves to Indonesia. She's been usingthis certain application to find people who speaks Indonesian and Japanese to help her learning Indonesian before going there. She meets this guy called Ian (an Indonesian who majors on Japanese language) and they get along nicely and all, and the communication continues even after Hikaru moves to Indonesia. After more or less a year talking online, both of them admit that they are attracted to each other, despite the age gap. Ian is more hesitant about taking a step further though, because one, it is weird enough falling for a girl ten years his junior, and two, much more so because they haven't even met in real life. Hikaru begrudgingly agrees that officially dating is not ideal with their current condition.

Then one day, Ian says he's got a new job: teaching Japanese at a high school in Hikaru's city. They are both excited because it means they can meet up and maybe get closer in real life too. A few days after that, a new teacher comes to Hikaru's school. Haha, how ironic, that new teacher Febrian turns out to be the very Ian she wanted to meet. (No they didn't know what the other looks like, but just how many Japanese girl called Hikaru, with brown hair, who goes to a high school in Surabaya can be? Just how many Japanese teacher who came from Jakarta, who shares the same age and (partial) name as Ian can be? It's too obvious.)

With how things turn out, they agree to meet up out of school to clear things up and to discuss what step they should take. Later, they decide to hide the fact that they know each other. Doesn't really help though, because even with the minimal interaction at school, they can't hide the chemistry. And, well, it's not everyday Hikaru can speak in Japanese freely (beside with her mother and step-father). All they can do is trying yo keep it as lowkey as possible.

At first they don't dare to go on dates(???) but after several cosplay events where they went in groups but somehow managed to find alone time, they get bolder. Still careful though, always an excuse or two up their sleeves should someone notices them. I can't say they are officially dating at this point, but both of them have acknowledged each other's feelings, you know? (Hikaru calls him Ian when together, Febrian when at school/with their friends.)

Then the story focus shifts to Hikaru's problem with her real father. Long story short, it addresses Hikaru's hatred toward the man and the reason why she always gets defensive when people comment about her cosplay hobby. I haven't plotted in detail, but this arc is supposed to look deeper into Hikaru's relationship with her mother and step-father. (This takes place after Hikaru gets into 12th grade, where she's expected to get her hobby on hold on favor of exam preparation.)

After that comes the last part, where suddenly Ian's past is brought up. Who would've thought that Hikaru's step-father has some connection to Ian in the past? Furthermore, it's something that makes him oppose Hikaru's relationship with Ian. (I plan to make this part happen after Hikaru completes her National Exam, with graduation coming right up, so she and Ian are more lenient about the nature of their relationship.)

Aaaand, well, I love happy ending so expect some Ian/Hikaru officially dating as the endgame.

---

Cough. It got long. Hahaha. I loooove this universe, I really want to write more about them ;;;;;; The title, Dreamweaver, was chosen because at first I wanted to focus on Hikaru working hard for her hobby. It's not like she's making it her dream job, but at least for her that time, continuing cosplay for a long time is her dream, and she weaves her way through school/family/love to reach that dream.

Soo what do you think? :)vianna orchidiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13284051763908117707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363448139878683688.post-78237652146386752762016-11-15T20:16:00.000+07:002016-11-15T20:16:40.425+07:00More about OCs: untitledSo I may have gotten a bit heated up because after posting that last post, I actually engaged a conversation with a friend about our OCs! It really makes me want to lay down each character's basic appearance and personality. And while the heat lasts, here I go~ I'll do it one post for each universe so it doesn't get long.

[untitled]
(This comes first because they are easier to write lol)
(On hindsight, I should have made a title sooner than later...)

Maki Hiiragi (or in Japanese style, Hiiragi Maki / 柊季 茉輝)
<strike>Oh shhh so what do you mean I only made her Kanji name just now shhh.</strike>
20 y.o. I haven't decided on birthday/signs/blood type. But I think she's a Pisces?
Your normal, average college girl. Economics major. Currently in Yokohama, Japan.
She has natural dark hair and white skin. Really, so typical Japanese girl. Prefers skirts, but not mini-skirts. Just like most other Japanese, her colors are black, dark brown, dark blue, dark green.
Her mother has passed away, and her father is an awkward man who can't really show his affections freely. No siblings.
This girl, I tell you, is salty about everything. It's almost like everything is wrong for her, like she's the most pitiful of all. I mean, yeah she actually can be nice and outgoing and all, but there's always an underlying dissatisfied feeling. And to top it off, she's clingy.
(I want to slap her then hug her.)
As explained in the first story of this universe, she has a major crush on Shouichi, but it's unrequited as Shouichi dates another girl. And yeah, it's bad for her heart.

Shouichi Kobayashi (or in Japanese style, Kobayashi Shouichi / 小林 鎗一)
20 y.o. I haven't decided on birthday/signs either, but he's kinda Scorpio or Sagitarius to me. And you know what, he's almost definitely O.
Another normal, average college student! .....except for that red highlight. He's got a rebel heart deep inside. Also Economics major in Yokohama.
I don't know, he just appears as the kind of guy who would wear black jeans and red shirts with black leather boots. Not that he wears it everyday lol. About 180 cm-ish? Or maybe a bit shorter hahaha. His hair is a bit long, he sometimes wears hairpins during sports. Definitely one of the ikemen in class.
Has a younger brother.
I must admit he has a difficult personality (for me to write). He's not close to his family because of stuffs, and at one point he got rebellious? Kinda. He likes to stay alone in his dark apartment room, staring at nothing. <strike>(whispers: emoooo)</strike> Almost feel like he's distant from people. He truly cares for his friends though, for example for Maki, his so-called best girl friend. He begins to date Rise because she's cute (ha!) and apparently she also likes metal music.

Sooo yeah. That's it. And the main plot of this universe? Maki likes Shouichi but doesn't confess, one day Shouichi gets a girlfriend, Maki gets jealous and heartbroken and she blames everything. She still wants to be with Shouichi though. Shouichi, the ever distant one, doesn't realize Maki's feelings and goes his merry(?) way.

I hope you enjoy~vianna orchidiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13284051763908117707noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363448139878683688.post-16544069723154132932016-11-13T09:05:00.001+07:002016-11-13T09:05:52.632+07:00Meet the OCs!Just a quick, random thought.

How much do you develop your OCs? You know, original characters? Whether in original story or in some fandom? Those who write novels or something like that surely have an extended development of their OCs, sure, but as someone who don't, how much do you develop your OCs?

Some friends in my facebook timeline are still active in roleplay, and they sometimes gush about their beautiful children (OCs). When I see them talking so adoringly about their children, I just can't help but compare to myself. I mean, I have OCs too but I rarely use them anymore ;;;;; Makes me feel like, come on, they deserve more love <3

Sooo with that in mind, I would like to introduce my OCs! They are mainly from original stories. People who read my orifics in this blog may recognize a name or two. Once upon a time I made a proper character sheet about them (at least, the main ones), but God knows where those scraps of paper now /orz

[The Twin Witches]
Vidia Recranis Soubrugh (fun fact: yes I mixed her name with mine to create my current pseudonym)
Aishvera Rudonia Soubrugh
Frechordo Terrantuo
Fransesca Terrantuo
Gamma
* About the universe: this is like the first well-plotted story I've ever created. I was really fascinated in Norse mythologies, so I used names based on creatures in them. To do that, I had to a lot of research, and to be honest it was really fun. (Also the first time I experienced '6 hours research, 1 hour writing' lol.) As the story itself has reached halfway of the plot, there are a lot of other characters, but mostly are minor.

[Dreamweaver]
Hikaru Akiyama
Febrian (once upon a time he had full name, but I forgot??!)
Sayuri Akiyama
* About the universe: I swear I've plotted this thoroughly and properly (it means with other important characters' names) until at least halfway, but then life happened and I can't even remember most of the names now??!? I couldn't even find the plot sheet anymore. It made me so upset that I can't seem to continue developing the universe. But Hikaru and Ian are just so precious (with fun personalities) that I still like to use them for random oneshots.

[untitled]
Maki Hiiragi
Shouichi Kobayashi
* About the universe: here comes the characters I didn't expect to be so dear for me! They were created out of a whim when I needed to vent out by writing a story, based on a dream I had. But maybe because of that, I find it most comfortable to display my emotions through Maki. Of course, she and I are different people with different personalities, but there are places where I incorporated my personality into hers. The last two pieces I posted about this girl were sad, but I actually wrote something that could be called a hapy ending for her! I just don't want to post it because the ending doesn't make sense as long as I don't write out the proper storyline first. (Which won't be happening anytime soon.)

[Queen of Prophecies]
Luna
William
Steven
Maria
Elena
* About the universe: probably my most beloved universe. I don't remember when I first created this storyline, but it resounds inside me even now. Strangely, I've never made proper character sheets for this universe, even though the story is completed with several different endings and a sequel and a prequel (all in my head, of course).

[Unity]
Arina
Chandra
Kristin
Hari
* About the universe: it suffers the same way as Dreamweaver: I lost the character sheets along with the storyplot. (I swear Arina and Chandra have proper full names, that I'm proud of!) Not exactly my favorite universe, as it deals with incest (dear Lord please forgive me), but fun fact: I've used this universe for stories to submit to magazines/writing competitions more than once. I guess that's because it has the most down-to-earth, normal atmosphere to it. Dreamweaver is too, but I guess Hikaru being a Japanese expatriate in Indonesia does make it trickier to write. Another fun fact: I sometimes combine Unity and Dreamweaver together! Like, it happens at the same school, just different focus.

[Pandora Hearts]
Leynhart
* About the universe: this is an OC for Pandora Hearts roleplay. One that we never managed to finish, lol. The first time I learn the term OC is here. I received critics that she looks a lot like Tifa from FF7, and while I denied it at first, the more I think about it, she does xDD I think I unconsciously got influenced, that's why I didn't realize it at first. I never use her again.

[Acacia of the World]
Annasthacy Chashyme
* About the universe: another OC for roleplay. It's an original roleplay, and we never managed to start it lol. But we have created various random comics and random fics about the characters. I created her with the intention to personalize myself, hence the name (my previous penname). I used her for the series The Grand Play too, but then I got uncomfortable using her since she's supposed to be my persona. It gets weird when you put yourself in a story, believe me. (And the storyline got too weird I had to stop /slapped)

Yep, I think that's all! My beloved (and maybe not-so-beloved) children <3 What do you think?

My one and only regret is that I CAN'T FREAKING MAKE CHARACTER DESIGN. I can't draw anything to save my life. I can't give definite features for my children. I mean, sure I can say they have this hair color, this hair length, etc but sometimes it get weird??? Like, it doesn't make a good composition or something??? Sometimes I wanna commission someone to draw my OCs, but I'm afraid I don't have a strong enough vision about what they look like and it'll just confuse the drawer lol.vianna orchidiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13284051763908117707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363448139878683688.post-70621078321252166292016-11-06T10:47:00.002+07:002016-11-11T19:43:04.208+07:00Classes in Nagoya University (About MEXT Scholarship - Japanese Studies (2))Hello, nice to see you again~

As per my previous post, I'm going to talk about my classes here in Japan. First of all, my course name is 'Intensive Course in Advanced Japanese' or 日本語・日本文化研修コース (or, as they like to call it, 1年コース). We have a total of 16 periods from Monday to Friday (3 periods each day, with the exception of Wednesday with 4 periods). Each period lasts for 90 minutes.

Now, as I mentioned in my previous post, only 5 periods out of these 16 are not about Japanese Language. They are 1 教義科目 (basically an International Culture Exchange Class) and 4 入門講義 (Japanese Linguistics, Linguistics, Japanese Culture, Japanese Literature). 教義科目 is compulsory, but we can pick 3-4 of the 入門講義. I picked all, because honestly I love literature but my main focus is still linguistics. I only took Japanese Culture only because my schedule wouldn't be convenient if I didn't.

教義科目 is an interesting class, I must admit. It's a class consisting of Japanese students and foreign students. Not only students of my course, the other students from NUPACE also join this class. The class activity is mainly group discussion, where we are given some problem and we need to figure out what it means in each of our culture. From different cultures come different point of view, and it helps to broaden our horizon. (Though there will be group project later. I hate group projects. Can I skip? ;;;;)

入門講義 is also an international class, except we don't have Japanese here. Like, NUPACE students, my course students, and I don't know the others but there are no Japanese.

In Japanese Linguistics, we mainly talk about 品詞 (word class). It's something I've studied before so it's no biggie (and maaaaaybeeeeee a bit boring) but as this goes in depth about each word class, I guess it does improve my knowledge.

Meanwhile in Linguistics, we talk about what linguistics is and what field it covers. The lecturer especially likes to hear about our languages, where it differs and where it has a special trait, so this class is interesting for me. I love learning new languages afterall. I've heard about Chinese, Korean, Russian, Maldives. And of course, Indonesian, Javanese, and Sundanese.

Japanese Literature is so far my favorite class. We talk about... well, Japanese literature. Started out from (arguably) the oldest, the 万葉集, we go over several popular poems and the meaning. I'm not very well-versed in poems, much less those in Japanese, very much less in old Japanese, so listening to the lecturer's energetic lesson about each poem is really enlightening. The lecturer has deep passion for poems and literature so it's always refreshing to listen how she gushes about "ah, the romance" "ah, so heart-wrenching" "ah, the lines are so beautiful".

My least favorite class is... Japanese Culture. I'm sorry but I just can't enjoy this kind of class ;;;;; The lecturer himself is okay, and we mainly learn about Japanese by watching films/documentaries, but? I just? Not my field. I think I'll skip this class next semester ;;;;;

By the way, all of the forementioned classes are conducted in Japanese. Full Japanese. There was once a Chinese student in Japanese Linguistics class and she couldn't even understand what the lecturer say when he's taking attendance, and he just said, "出て行ってください". Hoo boy. It's no wonder we need to have at least N2 JLPT certificate to enroll here.

Allright, now let's talk about the main thing. The Japanese class. Well, of course this is also conducted in Japanese, duh. The schedule changes every week so there's no definite pattern (we are given a new schedule every two weeks) but basically there are:

文法

上級文法 (N1 level)

聞く練習

会話

読解 (there are newspapers, excerpt from books, or books itself)

漢字テスト (we don't have any lesson about kanji. We only have the book to self-study and get a test every week for 4-5 chapters. Score below 90% needs to retake the test. <strike>I know, crazy standard, right?</strike>)

復習クイズ (basically a set of questions about everything we learned in one week, from grammar, expressions, to conversations)

試験 (conducted every two weeks (or every three chapters). there are paper test and oral test.)

作文

特別講義 (history of Kanji, introduction to Japanese dictionaries, how to take interviews.... I don't know what else is gonna come)

スピーチ (it is said that each person is scheduled to have 2-3 speeches througout the year. I've had one.)

a new one is 情報伝達. I don't know how often this will appear. this is basically dokkai plus speech, because we are required to make a presentation about something we read (my current case, a newspaper article).

The first five are more like the regular classes, with an addition of 復習クイズ and 漢字テスト. The others are sporadical.

Other than this, there are gonna be reports but I don't know about them in details, so maybe I'll make a post <strike>whining</strike> about them when they comes. For now, these are all I can say. I hope this makes a good reference for anyone interested in Nagoya University for this program!

[edit 11/11/2016]
There are at least two things I would like to clarify!

First about 情報伝達. It's a one-time event, apparently. BUT there will be more projects like this, where we are required to make some kind of presentation. We still don't know what else is gonna come, though.

Second, I wrote "how to take interviews" in 特別講義, that's because in my schedule it's written 面接. I just assumed that it's gonna be a lecture about how to take Japanese-style interviews, but it turned out it was a real interview. Just a small one, where the lecturer ask us about our condition after one month in Japan.vianna orchidiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13284051763908117707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363448139878683688.post-5006216044641086362016-10-26T20:39:00.000+07:002016-10-28T20:17:23.810+07:00[Fanfic] To Learn Something New (ch 26)

And jade is Hope's eyes.

Lightning sees the sea
every time she peers into his eyes for a second too long. A sea that
sometimes runs amok, sometimes drifts idly. His eyes have a depth that
sometimes entices her but sometimes sends her scurrying away too.
Such a complicated being, Lightning decides one day. She chooses to
keep Hope at an arm's length lest she catches herself staring into
those eyes again.

That was the plan, anyway.
But right now, she can't take her eyes away from his, mere
centimeters away. She is nose to nose to Hope, with one of his big
hands on her right cheek and the other on the small of her back,
sending shivers up her spine. They are so close she can even count
his speckles. She bets he can count her eyelashes.

And with slow movements,
both of them decide to close their eyes at the same time, leaning
closer and closer and—

Lightning
lets the sea take her wherever it wants.

It's about life in Japan. The first month of it, anyway. I made a few videos about my trip and my dorm here, so check my YouTube channel. I have more projects in my laptop... but never actually got around to it. (Please send some cookies to energize me!)

So. Life here actually started on Monday, where the students of my program were gathered and led to the Ward Office to do some administration. 'Hey I'm here in Japan legally so here's my residence card.' 'Because I'm a citizen of Japan (though temporarily) I have to enter the health insurance program? Cool okay.' 'Yeah and also the national pension program. But I don't have any income here so I'll just apply for exemption on the same day I apply for it.' Yadda yadda. (There's a video.)

And! I met my new friends at that time. There are 7 students of my program, plus 7(?) more of another, similar program. They came from India, Cambodia, Croatia, Singapore, Korea, Cypris, Kyrgyz, and Phillipines. And another from Indonesia. Lucky me for having another Indonesian in my program. We bonded quite nicely. I must say it was nice to meet new people with different cultures and different personalities.

(Wanna ask what I did on the remainder of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after my arrival? Sleeping like a baby in my room, scouting the nearest shopping mall alone, picking up my somewhat-abandoned translation projects.)

Anyway, starting from that Monday, me weekday is suddenly filled with activities. Aside from that Ward Office business, we also had orientations, opening ceremony, registering for bank accounts, etc. Sure it was nice to have some activity outdoor but. You know, my body was still in the state of holiday? There were times I had sore muscles from all the walking or bringing backpacks or carrying shopping bags.

(Just so you know, my campus is located about 15 minutes walk from my dorm. It's near. But between the campus and the dorm are hills. The whole area consists of hills. And I have to walk down that road, twice a day. Even when I just wanna buy some snack at the minimarket, I have to pass the uphill/downhill. Imagine that. The first few days were HELL. I can only hope it contributes adieu to some fat.)

Then the following week, suddenly we're greeted by a placement test (paper test and interview)! Sweet goodness. I didn't bring any book, I don't have any e-book, I didn't have any internet. How do you spell that? Oh right, 'coming unprepared'. Yeeesh, but I survived. Don't ask me how.

After the dreaded test (and feedback session the next day), we began normal classes. (Oh yes, this first class is the day I was talking about in my previous post. Go imagine.) A class with just 7 people is... lonely. But the guys are cool, they can really liven up the mood. I'm glad I got to spend a year with them.

(But then our class got divided... most probably according to the placement test's result. It's just for the last period of Tuesday and Wednesday though, so the lonelier class pales in comparison to the lonely class. <strike>Wth am I talking about.</strike>)

Anyway, my thought about classes here is... wow we really need to do some study preparations (予習). Go celebrate you diligent people. I'm just gonna wallow and crawl my way up here. We receive new study material on almost a daily basis, and we're expected to have read/prepared for that material.

And only here I hear that Nagoya University is indeed very strict about Japanese Proficiency lessons. I mean, only 5 out of 16 periods don't have anything to do with Japanese Proficiency lessons (speak/listen/read/write). And with the amount of materials we have to go over everyday, it's no wonder students of our program don't really go out or get involved in organizations here, from generation to generation. Now I'm second-guessing my life decisions.

(But Nagoya is nice. The university itself is nice.)

By the way, the scholarship stipend for October still hasn't come out. Hahaha. Really, if you're not careful with your spending, you may end up not eating anything for the last week of October. A word of advice: be wise and control your shopping urges. I know it gets unbearable because goodness there are so much I wanna buy in Japan but yeah. You need to survive first. Well, it's not like I'm saying don't shop! I myself have purchased a Kalafina live concert ticket. I have purchased a Japanese simcard on cash. I have tasted various puddings (don't blame me, I can't resist caramel/custard puddings). Just, spend wisely. I'm writing down ALL of my spending, every single day, in Excel just to keep up with how much I've spent, how much I have left, how much I spend weekly--like that. It helps.

Now, I'm losing track of what I wanna say and what I have said. So I think I'll just stop here. I guess I'll go explain in-depth about my classes here on next post. If you wanna know what I do weekly in Nagoya University as an exchange student, stay tune.

My previously silent phone suddenly bursted with messages once it's connected to internet.
The first message I read was from a classmate of middle school days.

"I'm sorry for your loss."

Ah, so this is what it means to have the Earth crumbles beneath you feet, I thought. So this is what it means to have the world stop spinning on its axis.

I chose to open the message from my sister next. She simply asked if I could call her right away.
But I had class in two minutes, there's not enough time, there's not enough process in my brain to talk.
I ended up taking the 90-minutes class and barely listened to the lecture.

After class ended I hastily slipped out and found a corner before dialing my sister's LINE account. She treaded the topic carefully. But I had known. I had known what she was going to say.

My father is gone.
